Covid-19 Booking & Cancellation Policy

You would like to book your room but you are worried that your plans may change due to Covid-19 related uncertainties?

*3 weeks prior to arrival, you cannot cancel your booking but you can change your arrival date if circumstances don’t allow you to travel or your institution is cancelling or moving your study program online. You will need to provide us with evidence in writing to book@gobritanya.com, for example a letter from your school postponing your start date, or moving your program online, or a travel warning for the UK. The new check in date has to be by 29th of March 2021.

**1 week prior to arrival, you cannot cancel your booking but you can change your arrival date if circumstances don’t allow you to travel – this applies for Tier 4+5 related Travel Restrictions only! You will need to request this in writing to book@gobritanya.com. As soon as the Tier 4+5 Travel Restrictions for London are lifted, we will automatically assign you a check in date within the 2 weeks of the day of the official government announcement.

Unfortunately you cannot go out or use the common areas. Remember that self-quarantine lasts 10 days (UK) or 14 days (Ireland), and it is best to follow all the Government rules in order to ensure yours and everyone else’s safety.
You should call reception, and then 111 to arrange a test to be sent to you. If you start feeling worse, please make sure to call emergency services on 999 straightaway.
If you start to feel very unwell, phone your GP. If your GP is not available please call the emergency services on 112 or 999. You should also let reception at your residence know.

You are able to self-quarantine in any of our residences. Our team will help you take your trash out, deliver your food to your door. They also provide mental support in case the you’re going through a tough time during quarantine.

All UK supermarkets have apps and websites where you can order online and pay using your debit/ credit card.

When you check in, you should ask for the kitchen schedule from reception. You will have to use the kitchen according to a well organised schedule, and then make sure you clean all the appliances you have used.

Make sure you take the reception phone number and that you call in order to report a fault in your room. Do not go to reception in person in this case. Some of the residences have APPS and you can request everything online.

Reception will welcome you and ask you to have your temperature checked. After this you will receive all the info you will need for you to self-isolate such the kitchen schedule and most important instructions on how to download and use the ‘self-isolation support app’ which will enable you to easily book a food delivery to be dropped in front of your door, laundry service and waste removal. Please remember that you will have to stay in your room for the entire self-isolation period as required, you will have all the support from us and the reception during this time!
