Can I sublet my room and what is the procedure?
Yes, you can sublet your room if you are up to date with your rent and you pay the subletting fee of £50.00 + VAT. Furthermore, the student subletting from you must be studying in UK and be over 18 years old.
Can I extend my stay?
Yes, you can request an extension of a minimum of 1 week’s stay. To do so, please email to book@gobritanya.com.
What do I need to do before I leave?
Once you know your check out date, let us know and we’ll get the paperwork ready. And be sure to leave your room as you found it, take all your belongings, and dispose of all rubbish!
When is the check-in and check-out time?
You need to check out of your room by 10am on the end date of your tenancy as we may need to clean your room for another check in the same day. And the check-in time is 3pm. If you arrive before this time, you will not have access to your room.
What if I want to move out early?
Should you wish to leave before the end of the period stated in the agreement, put it in writing and we’ll let you know what options are available to you. However, given the Tenancy Agreement is a legally binding document you will need to pay rent until your tenancy expires.
When do I get my deposit back?
Your deposit will be returned to you within 28 days after the end of your Tenancy Agreement. The money will be paid back to you by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). Damage to your room, beyond normal wear and tear, missing items from the inventory or additional cleaning will result in you being charged and the amount will come out of the deposit.
How should I leave my room when I move out?
You should leave your room as clean and tidy as possible. Make sure you remove all your belongings and ensure all rubbish is placed in designated refuse areas. I left something behind in my room, what do I do?
When our specialist cleaners carry out deep cleaning of each room at the end of the tenancy, any valuable items or documentation will be passed to the team at reception who will contact you to arrange collection.
